In 2003, Dr. Jose Javier Echeverria, Chairman of the Department of Periodontics and the Director of Master in Integrated Dentistry at the University of Barcelona, Spain, and Dr. Nowzari set-up an international academic and educational collaboration.

This collaboration was celebrated on November 24 & 25, 2006, where Dr. Nowzari was invited by Professor Jose Javier Echeverria and Professor Carles Subira to present in Barcelona.
